STOP THE HATE is a new web site that brings a message worth passing on. The Tulsa Riots link you to stories and photographs surrounding the infamous Tulsa Riot of June 1, 1921. 4 Little Girls takes you to a site devoted to the tragic murder of four innocent girls by southern racists in 1963. Note that the links begin with STOP THE HATE because that is what it's going to take. However, knowing factual history, or to explore one's heritage is not an act of hate, but merely seeking earthly knowledge. Slanted History has done a great injustice to many selected groups of minorities. Here we hope to set the record straight because the bed of hate is ignorance. The VOTE is the loudest voice, but the Internet does provide us with the ways and means to communicate in a more direct manner with those that govern us. Long sentence, real fact. The Internet, in itself, will bring about a tremendous change in how the elected communicate with the electorate. There is, and will continue to be, a greater level of accountability. An accountability that would be risky to ignore because of the communication capabilities the Internet provides. The responsibility for communication rests within you, the citizen. It is your decision if you chose to participate in your government, or be simply governed.
